This crossword puzzle is for ALL STUDENTS. This puzzle is the thrid and final puzzle about famous classical Latin authors.

Instructions: You will see a series of descriptions in English. Your task is to supply the name that is required.

Here are the clues:

ACROSS

2. (1st century C.E.). Author of Latin eclogues in imitation of Vergil.
4. (1st century C.E.). Encyclopedia writer, author of the famous Natural History.
5. (1st century C.E.). Politician and author of treatises on the Roman water supply and on Roman military tactics.
8. (1st century C.E.). Author of a history of Alexander the Great.
9. (1st century C.E.). Famous author of 12 books of epigrams.
13. (3rd-2nd century B.C.E.). Author of comedies such as the Miles Gloriosus and Pseudolus.
14. (1st century C.E.). Poet who wrote an epic account of the Roman civil wars, culminating the Battle of Pharsalia.
15. (1st century B.C.E.). Writer of an important geography of the world; born in Spain.
16. (1st century B.C.E.-1st century C.E.). Poet, author of epic poems, such as the Metamorphoses, and elegiac works, such as the Amores.
17. (1st century C.E.). Author of the collection of anecdotes, Factorum ac dictorum memorabilium libri.
18. (1st century B.C.E.-1st century C.E.). Emperor and author of his own Res Gestae, "Things Done."
19. (1st century C.E.). Poet and philosopher, author of philosophical works and tragedies such as Phaedra and Thyestes.

DOWN

1. (3rd century C.E.). Christian writer, known for his apology in dialogue form, the Octavius.
3. (1st century B.C.E.). Elegiac poet, famed for his poems about his lover Cynthia.
4. (1st century C.E.). The "arbiter elegantiae" of Nero's court, author of the Satyricon.
6. (2nd century C.E.). Biographical writer who is famous for his Lives of the Caesars.
7. (2nd century C.E.). Author of biting satires, highly critical of the rule of the emperor Domitian.
10. (2nd century B.C.E.). Founder of Roman satire; only fragments survive.
11. (3rd-2nd century B.C.E.). Author of books on farming; nicknamed "The Censor."
12. (1st century C.E.). Teacher of rhetoric and the author of the Institutio oratoria.
13. (1st century C.E.). Author of the first extant collection of Aesop's fables in verse.
